Sumptuous Skincare By Simplicité

Australian skincare is a very hot topic in the beauty sphere right now, here at MindBeauty we have our finger on the pulse and have been bringing you some great options.

The latest addition to our ranks is Simplicité.

This brand is an all natural, cruelty-free, organic skincare brand that really packs a punch. It has been meticulously developed by its Naturopath founder using high activity, medicinal grade herbs that blend together perfectly into a full and diverse range of products.

I have been testing out three of their products myself for the last few weeks and I definitely have a lot to say about them so let’s cut to the chase!

When trying out new brands I always like to sample a whole skincare routine as I like to believe that everything should work together in synergy so I decided to sample the following:

• Plant Gel Cleanser

• Rehydration Serum

• Revitalising Night Creme

Plant Gel Cleanser - HK310

This is supposed to be a luxurious, moisture preserving milk/cleanser and oh boy does it deliver! I have to say that this is the most luxurious and silky smooth facial cleanser I have ever used. I can only describe the feeling as silk on your hands when you lather it up, it;s just so smooth.

I really feel that this is an effective cleanser that gets in deep and makes my face feel like it’s had a deep cleanse without feeling like I’ve used paint stripper on my skin.

Rehydration Serum - HKD850

As you may have heard on our live shows over the last few months, I have really gotten into skin oils! I just love that intense hydration it brings and I really feel like they lock in so much more moisture, especially since they air is getting colder and drier.

Question: Do you ever wonder when you should put on an oil? Before or after a moisturiser?

Answer:….Well….both…It all depends on what products you are using, its all about penetration! If the molecules in your oil are large, they will form an occlusive layer over the skin that will stop your other products from being absorbed and doing their job. This means that this oil should be put on top of your other products to help seal everything in

If your oil is light and thin this probably means it is made from smaller molecules and will allow other products to sink in meaning you can put it on first for a burst of intense hydration.

This Rehydration Serum falls into the second category and is a super light oil that I have been using religiously twice a day since getting it.

I really feel since using this oil I can see a difference in my skin, constant hydration and a light glow from using it.

This oil is super light on the ingredients, I often find oils contain long ingredient lists with 32 different extracts that ultimately leave my skin feeling dry and confused.

These 11 ingredients work together in harmony and smell great, just warm a few pumps between your hands and massage in for a fragrant, hit of hydration.

Revitalising Night Creme - HKD400

All great things to say here! The only problem is I cant get enough.

As the winter months roll on I am constantly looking for hydration, especially with the brisk winds and having to wear a mask.

I have been piling this night creme on after taking my bedtime shower, I just love putting twice as much as I should on and feel all of the active ingredients get to work.

With all natural ingredients, there is a common disbelief that they aren’t as potent or can make as much of a difference as designer molecules but let me put that argument to rest with this wonder creme.

I can really feel the active ingredients getting to work and I just love it.

Since using this product I feel like I have found that protective hydrating barrier that I have been looking for and given the confidence to brave the wild winds of Kong Kong’s waterfronts without fear of drying out.
