Exfoliation for the nation.

I have recently been looking for a new exfoliator product, one that is gentle on the skin but really packs a punch and sloughs off all of the dead skin.
Living in Hong Kong can be pretty tough on the skin, the humid air, high pollution and constantly going in and out of air-conditioned spaces can wreak havoc on your skin, not to mention that now we always have to be wearing face masks. Our skin is not happy.
This crazy hot and cold climate means that I have been feeling like my skin is looking a little dull recently and could do with a wake up.
Exfoliating regularly is a great habit to have, it helps to remove dead and dry skin cells that can make us looking grey and tired, leaving us with fresh, glowing and dewy skin but not all exfoliators are created equal.
When most of us common folk think of an exfoliator we think of something like a Neutrogena face scrub like you might find in the supermarket. These are terrible, the grains are waaay to big and rough to use on your face, more suited to sanding down walls or polishing diamonds. They also contain soap which is terribly drying to the delicate skin on our face (which has already taken enough of a beating recently).
The mechanical action of scrubbing your face is not an ideal solution for exfoliating away the grey and a daily enzymatic exfoliator like my beloved Preparation8 by Ciencia would be much preferred by skin gurus. Sometimes however you just feel like you want a good scrub and this is where I’m currently at!
I have been searching high and low for something to give me a little reset on my exfoliation routine and to make my skincare work the best it can, enter Glohs Scrub.
This soap free (so not drying) scrub is Manuka Honey based which is an amazing ingredient to balance, calm, hydrate and nourish the skin (if you follow me on social media @garykwok1988 you’ll know that I’ve been using Manuka honey for a while now and its just amazing) and packed full of other calming, natural ingredients to hydrate and promote new collagen growth like silk amino acid!
